Signal launches Shropshire Advocacy Service

We all know how hard it can be when we don’t feel listened to, when what’s important to us isn’t taken seriously by others, or we just don’t have the words to say what we really feel or want.

Being Deaf, having hearing loss or experiencing tinnitus can make being listened to even more challenging, and so Signal is proud to launch an Advocacy service for anyone in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin who is Deaf, has hearing loss or experiences tinnitus. Our Advocacy service aims to support you to have involvement in decisions about you.

Delivering the service are Signal staff members Anna MacKenzie and Jo Rose, both qualified advocates and both of whom use British Sign Language.

Anna & Jo will work with people to support and represent them where needed, in a wide range of settings. Anna and Jo will take time to understand your situation, explore the options and help you decide what you want to do and how you want to do it. They can give you as much or as little support as you want to put your views across. You will never be judged, told what to do or take over things when you can do them yourself; Signal’s view is, it’s your life and you deserve to be heard.
