On Wednesday 24th March we welcomed Hypnotherapist Helen Howells to our virtual Tinnitus Support Group.
Helen gave the group insight into her journey, sharing the range of benefits of hypnotherapy-how it can help to identify areas of stress, and ways we can connect with, or be kinder to ourselves. In doing so, individuals have an additional tool to manage their experience of tinnitus.
The group experienced a 30-minute relaxation, with many members entering a peaceful trance state. At the end of the session, members were then given the opportunity to ask questions.
The group found the session to be a relaxing and positive experience, with one member commenting “It was very interesting to learn how Helen's expertise can be beneficial to many different conditions, including tinnitus. I felt calm after our session and enjoyed the input from other members of the group.”
After the session, Helen got in touch to let us know that “my experience of talking with the group was one of being made to feel very welcome […] this put me at great ease and I really enjoyed sharing my passion. I am very grateful to the members who shared their experiences, and those who were interested in understanding more through questions and feedback.”
We are always grateful to have amazing individuals like Helen come along and talk to our group about different support and information that is available to them, and look forward to welcoming Helen back in the future.
