Trusts and Foundations

We are delighted to hear from any trust or foundation which would like to help us to achieve our aims of ensuring that people with deafness or hearing loss have the opportunity to be full and active members of their family, community and society.

Just as importantly – we want to help you to achieve your aims by giving you the opportunity to fulfil your objectives, either at home or overseas, if  you have a particular interest in:

  • Deaf and hard of hearing people
  • Disability
  • Building confidence and communication
  • Reducing isolation among the elderly
  • Social welfare

  • Deafness
  • Disability
  • Equal access to education and services
  • Discrimination and stigma
  • Family and community development

We rely on donations for our projects and to support our core costs.

Generous funding by trusts and foundations and institutional partners has made our success possible, and we are ambitious for Signal’s activities to continue to flourish, both overseas and in the UK.

Please contact us to discuss making a grant to Signal or if you would like more information. We would be happy to provide information about our current funding needs.

We thank everyone who supports us in our newsletter, annual report and on our website, but respect anonymity if this is preferred. Donors receive our regular newsletters, updates on particular projects and required reports.

Thank you to the trusts and foundations which are funding our current projects.

Thank you to our UK and Channel Island partners and donors for working with us on our projects:

Comic Relief
The National Lottery Community Fund

Department for International Development
Guernsey Overseas Aid & Development Commission
Scottish Government
Sense Scotland

Thanks, too, to SignHealth (UK) for its past support for our work in Uganda.

Deaf children and young adults in countries in sub-Saharan Africa have been helped by projects funded by trusts and foundations and partners.
